Contour Shuttle Pro: Not working in Vegas 14 or 15

I have a Magix branded Contour Shuttle Pro but I can't get it to respond in Vegas 14 or 15. I've got it working with Video Pro X no problems. When I have Vegas open the icon in the tray says that Vegas is in focus however none of the buttons or the shuttle wheel do anything at the moment. Are there any settings in Vegas I need to look at? I have the latest control panel installed as far as I know. I'm typing this message in Firefox and it even works in Firefox but no joy with Vegas.

CSP working fine here. All my Macros, Buttons and Scrubbing. What are you doing to get it working?

I'm not doing anything. The control panel icon in the tray says Vegas has focus. Do I need to do something else to make it work then? I thought if it recognises Vegas has focus it would use the Vegas template in the application settings?

Make sure it is pointing to the correct .exe file.

Just because Vegas has focus, does not mean the functionality is activated. FireFox already has the Profiles within it.

Do open up the Control panel and get to understand the options. Do read Nick's link to my bumblings and frustrations with this process.

Thanks everybody for your help. I followed the instructions in the video but it still didn't work. But then I looked in one of the other threads linked here I noticed that somebody else was running Vegas as administrator which is what I was doing so. So I turned off running as administrator and the Shuttle Pro works now so all is good.

I had the same problem. But this helped. Now CSP is working in VP15.

I found a way to run Vegas as administrator and still use shuttle pro, solution is simple: make the shuttle pro also administrator. Make both the helper and the engine administrator.

You may have to approve every time if you start your pc, if you do not like this, it can be avoided by disabling in the OS the shuttle pro helper from the startup APPs and make shortcut to your desktop to helper.exe so you can launch shuttle pro before launching Vegas.

After hours of struggling with the problem I found your sugestion and sure enough I turn 'run as admin' off and it works! All this money they take from us in updates and after the number of years 16 has been out and they still have not fixed that!
