Hi guys,
I have been using Sony Vegas 13 for the past few years on my old rig but recently got a new laptop (specs at the bottom). My laptop is more than capable of running Sony Vegas 13 but for some reason my CPU usage percentage has been fluctuating rapidly. It will be sitting on 20% then suddenly go straight up to 95% and the fans will become very loud. When this happens the software is very laggy and almost usable. I check to see if vegas was using all the CPU cores and it was so I am running out of options of what it could be. I have run many other programs and high demanding games and had no issues only with Sony Vegas. I thought it might just be sony vegas 13 having compatibility issues with my new system so I tried installing a trial version of Sony vegas 14 and the exact same issue is occurring. To top it off I have had vegas freeze and crash on renders and sometimes takes me 6 attempts till it finally completes. For work I am a video editor so this is very important to me that it works so if anyone knows anything please come forward!
