Crash, crash, crash - v16.307

gmgo wrote on 11/11/2018, 1:26 AM

I bought Vegas 16 a week ago with 307 pre installed. All was going well enough but for a few crashes until yesterday and today - 15 crashes in a row (over 3 days now), all after the timeline settles. It shits itself when I insert a new clip on the timeline. It's also happened when I insert a M marker.

I have updated WIN10
The latest nVidia GForce GTX 1060 drivers
Disabled Nvidia Gforce GTX 1060 accelleration in Vegas.
I have uninstalled recently installed products.

I notice since the install, AE 2015 takes several minutes to open.

I am not going to make my clients deadline now which wont help my relationship with the new client.

Any ideas. Thx

I too had crash issues with VP 16 & MS 15. Nothing I tried worked UNTIL I uninstalled everything remotely related to VEGAS and MAGIX. Fortunately for me VEGAS are my only MMAGIX products. Then went and eleted ALL folders relating to VEGAS & MAGIX. Including the AppData/Local folders. You may need t unhide them. Finally I re-installed JUST the core of VEGAS & Movie Studio. All worked well, so far. After that I added the other features (DVD Architect, HitFilm, etc.). Testing as I went.

Yes, it is a time consuming, but worth it. At least for me.

Good luck.
