Crashing after importing media

Hello guys, I'm new to Vegas and I don't know alot about how to configure the setup. I came from a adobe platform and I want to switch to Vegas but I have a fiew problems. I have download a trial version of Vegas Pro 15 (really like it) but if I have alots of files to import, it will freez and crash afterward (let's say 300 files) but if I import them 15-20 at a time it will import them.

After I import all of my files (let's say 300 of them) and put them on the timeline, if I minimize Vegas Pro and bring it up, it will freez for a fiew seconds (2-3s)

I have also a copy of Vegas Pro 14 and I don't get all of these bugs with it.

 

PC config:
i5-4670k, 16gb of ram, nvidia gtx 650 ti

It works very smoothly with Vegas Pro 14 and Adobe Premiere CC 2017, only with 15 I have these problems.

Does PP pre-render media prior to or during placing on the Timeline? Vegas doesn't. The only thing Vegas does, and it needs time to do it, is to create Thumbnails in Vegas Explorer and the Project Media pane. All of this is natural to the first usage of a new project.

Hello Nick, yes and thank you. That was my problem. I've changed the value to FALSE and now it works very smoothly! Thanks a lot!
