Crashing after latest update

Paul-Holzman wrote on 5/12/2019, 2:44 PM

Hello,

After the most recent update I keep getting random crashes on some of the files I load into my vega pro 16, this wasn't an issue previously and I don't see a reason why its happening. I load the file and it says building peaks and then when i click anywhere else it crashes the program. Some files are fine, some are not but i can't find anything consistent between whats causing it.

If I move the Mp4 files i am working with to vegas 15 software though it imports and can be edited fine.

We need to know some info about your files and project settings and such... read the guide at the top of the forums that tells you what we need to be able to help you troubleshoot your problems.

Or, you can download happy otter scripts, and use its import assist to import your files, it will transcode any incompatible files to a lossless format that Vegas can open and edit smoothly. Free download (for now, it's in beta).

Attached are screen shots as requested in the guide portion. I tried that otter script and it did not help with the crashing after importing files in.

Please don't post private data like your software serial. I deleted that screenshot above for privacy protection.

Delete asap the picture with to serial due to safety of that (your) number and set in options the Dyn Ram preview back to 200 or o

Didn't even see it in there. Re-snipped the info the thing needed. Why does having the Dyn ram at 200 matter? i increased it to see if it would help with the rendering speeds and preview quality. I tried it at 0 - 200 and nothing changed. Still crashing once I try to move the file from the project view to the timeline.

I don't know what you mean with project view. Files can be added from the explorer Window and from the imported Project Media window or from an earlier made veg file. Nothing more or less. Specify here the MediaInfo as asked here: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-to-post-mediainfo-and-vegas-pro-file-properties--104561/
