Custom render template missing

StardustCreations wrote on 12/31/2015, 8:02 PM
Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone could help me with this...I've never had this issue before, but as of today as I went to render a video, I saw that I couldn't because my only custom render template (that I always use) was gone. I've since restarted my computer and looked online for anyone who might have had a similar problem, but no luck.
I've looked in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Sony\Render Templates and it appears as though my Custom template is there, but I'm not sure...
I would appreciate it so much if someone would be able to help me with this.

Thanks,
Sarah Stardust

Per chance, do you have the video or audio track muted? Do you have the standard templates offered?

No, and I've also tried rendering various other projects... It's still the same with others. And yes, the standard templates appear to be fine, it's just that my Favorited custom template seems to have been removed...I've had this and one other issue happen with Sony Vegas since I agreed to a Windows 10 update that wanted to do some kind of process to clean up or fix things...

Did you by any chance select the "match project properties" filter for the render templates?

No, I made sure to have that unchecked.
But you know actually, upon further inspection I'm noticing that the MainConcept AVC/AAC dropdown list is gone, which if I recall were the settings that I used (I don't quite recall since it was long ago I made it). But that would make sense that my custom settings for it would be gone then? The only question is why is it missing...

Don't know if this is connected but a few days ago I installed Vegas 13 on win 8.1 and MainConcept AVC/AAC templates are missing Encode mode and Enable progressive download.

The window ends at Number of slices. I'd never seen that ( or any other problem ) before. Those two options are normally below that. On win 7 machine everything is as it should be.

Maybe a Vegas 13 bug?

Okay, it appears that I've fixed it!
I tried going to the Vegas site and reinstalling the latest updates for Pro 13, restarted my computer and now MainConcept AVC/AAC is back, including my custom template.
