Actually this is the first interesting post from Mr ZIpps....

Strangely enough it only started to get interesting once Zippy lost interest and stopped posting in it.

I don't have any pics of the work studio or I'd post those as well, since they are a lot more impressive thatn my home studio :)

Wow...I think Gary needs another monitor!

Zippy is getting a bad rap...or already has one it seems!

Thanks BEORN for your "MAJOR PROPS!!!" I love feedback - especially when it's good!!

Let's see some more workspaces!

Actually it's a GL2 :)
The slab is basically a power strip that sits under your monitor and you plug everything in on the back.

Yes . .I know I know I know . . I'm just getting tired that when we say XM2 here in the UK and PAL-land we also add "Oh yes it is the GL2 in US!" .. .just wanna get the balance a bit even .. ;-)

I just moved back into downtown L.A. to an artist's loft and am constructing my little studio here... this is the web address to the BEFORE pics:

Please excuse the dust as we are just moving in to the space...
I will post an AFTER pic one day after the work and equipment installation permit. Gotta still paint the floor green in the one area.... Oh, that reminds me more work to do...
Cheers.

Gary

Did you use sand in the cinderblocks / concrete blocks that are propping up the TV?
RBartlett wrote on 3/2/2004, 3:58 AM
cinderblock = breeze block in Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland.
We do call "egg boxes", um, "egg boxes" though. Just in cast folks were a bit lost earlier in this thread.

One day they'll make cameras like our eyes, microphones like our ears, displays like looking out of the window and speakers so it sounds like the action is all around you. Cameras and microphones miss that natural touch despite their refinements. They suffer from the lack of brain power and sensitivity that we take for granted with our own senses. We'll still need those green walls for 4:2:2 chromakey work though!

AlanC-
Yes, upon further inspection there was some sand in those blocks.
Thanks. Also found a quarter and some lint.
We don't want to bring in furniture until everything is repainted, and this post just kept growing and growing....

:P
