Does Vegas Pro 23 support my camera's recording format?

Hey, I plan on getting a Canon EOS R50 V mirrorless camera for Christmas this year and want to know which of the camera's movie rec. formats are supported on the latest build of Vegas Pro 23 in terms of both compatibility and playback. If it also depends on the hardware I'm using to video edit the footage on Vegas Pro 23, I am using a 2019 gaming laptop from Sager that has an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10875H CPU @ 2.30GHz CPU, 16 GB of installed RAM, NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2060 GPU 0, Intel(R) UHD Graphics Integrated GPU 1 that runs on the OS Windows 11 Home (Version 25H2). I am new to the forums here and I'm also new to the idea of using Canon cameras instead of being stuck with the terrible Go Pros I've been using to capture footage for my vlogs (Go Pro Hero 8 Black and Go Pro Hero 10 respectively). Disclaimer: According to Canon's online manual of the camera, "XF-HEVC S and XF-AVC S movies are in original Canon video formats that are extensions of H.265/HEVC and MPEG-4 AVC/H.264"

  1. XF-HEVC S YCC422 10bit
  2. XF-HEVC S YCC420 10bit
  3. XF-AVC S YCC420 8bit
  4. XF-AVC S YCC422 10bit

@GrayEyes Could you get some sample files for you proposed camera? I've never bought a camera without trying the media first.

My guess is it will struggle with HEVC 422 10bit files.

(Intel 3rd gen i5@4.1GHz, 32GB RAM, SSD, 1080Ti GPU, Windows 10) Not now used with Vegas.

13th gen i913900K - water cooled, 96GB RAM, 4TB M2 drive, 4TB games SSD, 2TB video SSD, GPU RTX 4080 Super, Windows 11 pro

Best way to check is to download the trial.
