Double-speed audio in Handbrake Compression

I've rendered a 2 min 36 second video to Sony HD 1920x1080 Intra 29.97 fps. The MXF file plays perfectly in VLC Media Player. I brought the file into Handbrake to render a 50 MB H264 MP4 file for a client's download site. The resultant file looks good but the audio plays at slightly less than double speed, then from the end of the audio at about 1 min 30 secs through the remaining visuals the last 10 seconds of the audio track plays over and over until the end of picture, still at nearly double speed. What am I doing wrong?

Sony mxf has audio issues in Handbrake, although this is the first time ive heard of this.
I use dnxhd with pcm for intermediates to handbrake.

Hmmm. I guess I will have to research getting the dnxhd codec into Vegas. Thanks for the tip.

...Or, I will have to bite the bullet and uninstall the Debugmode frameserver stuff that doesn't work and start from scratch the frameserver software to try that approach. I tried to do it a few months ago and could not get it to work. Since my memory is sketchy about what I did I think starting over may be the best approach.

There are recent developments with the Vegas2Handbrake script that may end some of the frustration. Read this.

1. Download and install the Avid LE codec package.
2. The Avid codecs show up in the Quicktime custom render options in Vegas.

There are other alternatives. Search this forum for "intermediate."
