The question is this: The scenario is this, I have several audio tracks open in Vegas, then I will open the audio in Sound Forge 18 to make some correction, when I open the first audio the program opens, when I open the next audio, instead of opening just a new audio window in the already open Sound Forge, the audio opens in another instance of the program, leaving several programs open at the same time, I want to do it in a way that all the audios remain in just one program.

Unfortunately, that is the normal and expected behaviour when opening multiple audio events in Sound Forge from Vegas Pro. Agreed that it would be great if multiple Vegas Pro audio events opened in the one Sound Forge window.

I found the solution, in preferences, internal, inside there is an option to force instances in the same window, I was successful activating changing from FALSE to TRUE.

Interesting. I tried that Internal Preferences option before responding before and it made no difference - all audio openings from Vegas Pro still opened in separate Sound Forge windows. I was using the 'open in audio editor' option, were you using the 'open copy in audio editor' option?

In Internal preferences, the item name I changed was 'Open Sound Forge in Direct Mode'. Is that the same item that you changed or was it another item; if so, what is the item name please?

This Sound Forge 'single' or 'multi instance' option was added starting with SF-14 and caught many folks off-guard as the default was the opposite of the legacy versions.
btw, the Sound Forge 'single instance' setting is towards the bottom in the 'Internal' menu (which is normally hidden).
