Embedding Captions

The broadcast station my tv show is on is streamlining its workflow.
As part of this process, they are asking all content providers to provide video with embedded captions.
My paid program has been provided with a separate SCC caption sidecar file.
Moving forward, they need to have these captions embedded in the video file delivered to them.

How do I embed closed captions, and not "sub-titles" or open captions on mp4 file.

As a TV station Chief Engineer, I can tell you most, if not all, TV stations allow you to provide .mxf files. Just ask. It's easy in Vegas Pro to generate and embed a 608 closed captioning stream into an .mxf rendered file. The link above shows you how I do it for one of our Sunday morning programs. I use Vegas Pro 10, but the process is exactly the same for all subsequent versions of Vegas Pro.

Note to self (everyone else please look away -- the note that follows is a reminder for mine eyes only): Figure out a clever, kick-booty signature that suggests I'm completely aware of how to properly and exhaustively party on and that I, in fact, engage in said act on a frequent and spontaneous basis. All joking aside, listing my computer's properties is a futile endeavor. I edit multimedia in a local television station newsroom that has Vegas Pro installed on several machines with widely varied specs. We began editing non-linearly with Pinnacle Studio Version 8. That didn't last long before we upgraded to Vegas Video Version 4, then to Vegas Pro 10.

I can't thank you enough. It worked out perfectly.
