Error Code: -10

I've just installed Pro 19 as an upgrade from my old 14. But when I drag any media into it I get a pop-up error saying "An error occurred with the online connection, or the connection was interrupted. Please contact MAGIX support. Error code: -10"

I can't find anyone else with this error and the support page shows no mention of this error code.

I'm online currently and it registered the product successfully. I tried deactivating pro 14, and then pro 19 and then reactivating pro 19. I've tried a restart, ive even tried opening an old project file. All give the same error.

Any ideas?

Thanks! Whilst I apricate that was also error code -10, the solution in that thread was to deactivate and then reactivate the product. Which I have attempted and didn't work. So still stuck...

OK so I tried something else. Deactivating Pro 14 again, deactivating Pro 19. Shutting down my computer and then booting it up again, reactivating Pro 19 and now it appears to work... I'm not sure why it worked that way but there we go...

Ok it worked for 1 video imported now it does the same error. Same when trying to open an old project file as well. Except doing that crashes the program completely.

It appears to be able to import .mov files, but not .mp4 So it defiantly would seem like a codec issue.

Are you receiving a different error code for the codec import issue? If this continues I recommend creating a support ticket so we can get some detailed error information and assist in troubleshooting.

@Strange Hi, prob won't help but maybe it's like some kind of temp file that's created on the first run,

just out of curiosity go to C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\19.0, delete everything, Vegas will take a moment to rebuild those files when you open again... 🤷‍♂️🤔

Going to attempt to delete everything pro19 related. Including the locally downloaded files in  C:\Users\Documents\MAGIX Downloads and start again with a fresh install

Ok after uninstalling Pro19 using the uninstaller, removing all files from C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\19.0 + C:\Users\your name\AppData\Roaming\VEGAS Pro\19.0 + C:\My Documents\MAGIX Downloads

then redownloading the software again using the installer and reactivating it appears to now work...

My best guess is it got a corrupted download during the initial download and then didn't install some vital file.

Either way its working now and it worked doing that. Apricate all the advice
