Error code -59 message says I don't have a license, but I do

I shut down my Vegas 21 Pro a short time ago, and clicked to open, to continue work. I get a Error Code -59, then another message when I click OK that says "An error occurred starting Vegas Pro. There is no license to use this software." I do have a perpetual license. How do I get back on? I clicked on my Vegas 20, and that works fine, but I can't open the edit that I have been working on. I see on another post that they uninstalled and reinstalled to solve the problem. I wanted to ask here first, before I try that. I have Vegas 21 Suite, so I'm also worried about how to do this all properly.

Try starting VP21 with a "Factory Reset". Instructions here https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-can-i-reset-vegas-pro-to-default-settings--104646/

Thank you for the tip. However, that didn't resolve the issue. I still got the error message.

A Vegas Support Help webpage provides the following procedure for addressing the Error 59 issue:

If this doesn't work, you may need to lodge a support ticket with MAGIX.

I ended up uninstalling, and reinstalling, and that cleared up the problem. I'm able to open Vegas with no issue now. Thank you for the attention and advice given.
