Error message when saving a file in Soundforge, used in Vegas Pro

When I try to overwrite an existing file, that is already in use in Vegas Pro, Soundforge Pro 14 will not allow it, and an error message will appear stating that "the file could not be created".

When I remove the file from Vegas Pro Project, Soundforge allows the file to be overwritten.
I used this workflow in Audacity - it is very practical if you correct the speaking tone for a film so that it is replaced immediately without having to place it again.

I think it should be possible through some setting, that Soundforge is allowed to overwrite the file, even if it is used in Vegas Pro - but I could'nt find it.
I set the preferences in Vegas Pro - "Close audio and midiports when the application is not active" - but no luck. "Close media data when the application is not active" does not change either.

I also posted a few days ago in the Soundforge forum - unfortunately no answer.
Does anyone have an idea in this forum?

Untill now I never have tried to overwrite the existing file.
I always open a copy in my preferred sound editor and save that file in the audio map of such a Vegas project. I close the sound editor and and after that I switch the sounfiles.

Bingo!
I just need to change the process that I was used to from Audacity so far.

Thank you @j-v !
