When I enter Vegas Studio Platinum 16(build 167) it says critical update is needed. I hit install now...and wait. It takes about 45 minutes to download the file and asks to install now or later (mind you Studio is open because that's how you get the update message). When I hit install now, stuido closes and everything disappears for a while, but if you wait long enough it asks if you want the program to make changes. When you hit 'yes', it looks like it will start to install and then gives an error message "The installer is unable to update Movie Studio 16 Platinum while it is running." It is not running as it closed when I hit install now. If I go to the task manager...it is not listed. There is no way to know where this updated file is downloaded as I cannot find it anywhere. So I have tried no less than 10 times with things open, things closed...45 minutes waiting to download again. I am on a windows 10 Dell laptop. Updating my HP desktop went fine.
