Every time I adjust a clip on timeline, a color-grading error pops up

Just purchased the Movie Studio Platinum 17 program today- and have been troubleshooting it for nine hours. My original issue was that the startup screen would never move past the "creating video plug-in factory" setup step. Upon doing some research in forums, I found numerous fixes, all of which failed. Eventually I moved the OFX folder from the program files to my Documents folder instead, and the program finally opened. Now, though, whenever I move a clip, delete a clip, add a clip, or adjust the length of a clip I receive an error message that says "Effect not found: VEGAS color grading." Having to close this after every single adjustment effectively triples my editing time so I need a fix desperately. Open to any ideas.

Try a rest. Whilst written for Vegas Pro it also applies to VMS

Tried that a few times, the effect error still appears as normal sadly :/

If you moved the OFX plugin folder, yes, you will see this error. The program requires this folder in order to run properly.

I know, but when I leave the folder in the correct spot then the program never opens. Any ideas on why the program wouldn't open with the correct folder in the correct spot?

Put the folder back. Then remove the plug-ins one by one, trying to restart each time until you find which is causing your problem.

Prior to installing VMSP 17 did you have any existing plug-ins installed? Probably yes if you had earlier versions installed. If so what are they?

Removed each one by one and it didn't open on any, but then when I take the whole folder out it will open. I had VMS 14 before this but I never installed any extra plug-ins for it.

Jack, a long shot - but it could be an issue with Windows privileges. Sometimes if files or folders get corrupted rights in Windows, strange things happen. You could move the OFX folder and then re-create another one in its place, (as opposite to copy the old), and then re-copy the plugins a few at a time.

@Jack-Schudy: Please provide us some system specs. It is obvious there is a conflict somewhere with one of the plugins. Having your specs can help us narrow down the issue.
