Sfl is a complementary file for MPEG2 files

Yes I know this. But you can also try different exporting methods to export an .sfl chapter file for mp4's as well; it just doesn't seem to work. That's why I'm here. :-)

I looked at my past posts but most of them were so long ago that they are difficult to reach.

You can pass the chapter markers to DVD Architect in the audio file by changing the Internal setting in DVD Architect to look for them there.

WAV is fast to render and can be used as a carrier even if you chose to replace the file after you have loaded the markers. Watch This.

So DVDA will read chapter markers from WAV files?

john_dennis wrote on 3/15/2018, 1:51 AM

WAV, AC3 and many video sources.

ringsgeek wrote on 3/15/2018, 1:53 AM

Yeah I tried AC3 and it didn't work. I guess I just don't know how to tell DVDA to pull the chapter markers from the audio file instead of the video file.

It's in the video. Watch it until you get it.

Gary: Timeline Tools will not export it as .sfl (only .txt). How do I get it to export as the correct file extension? And Mike, that link is no longer valid, can you please send a new one? Thanks.

ringsgeek, sorry for the delay but I just got back from winter vacation the other day. Here's a new Dropbox link to the file I posted. Note that this is for the Sony branded version of Vegas. You'll have to make a change to use it with anything created by MAGIX.
