Hey Roger_74 & JohnnyRoy,

I've tried the regional settings (set it to English/US) trick and... It works!!!!!
I don't know how that setting is going to affect my everyday work but its good to know that I can use this very usefull script.

Thanks for everything.

PS JohnnyRoy, if you decide to readjust your script, feel free to use me as a tester :)
Thanks again for this invaluable script.

Yes, I had same error when using my "correct" regional settings and it works after I set it to "English (USA)".

Sorry I haven’t been around but we lost electrical power here in the Northeast yesterday morning and our wonderful electric company keeps pushing the estimate out further and further. So I haven’t had any electricity for two days and the current estimate is two more days. My phones don’t even work so I’m totally off-line. I can’t even dialup from my laptop!

I’m posting this from my sister’s house but I probably won’t have internet/email access (or a computer to work on at home) for several days. So I might not be posting back here until Sunday night. The phone company isn’t coming to fix the phone until Monday! So I have to hope I get broadband back over the weekend.

Roger, Thanks for the tip on the separator characters. The only thing I do before the interface is displayed is check the Vegas project path and temp files path to use to seed the default rendering folder. I am not processing this path in any way. I’m just requesting it as a string and assigning it to a text box. I wonder if this is an internal Vegas bug when it tries to process the project path to give it back to me.

I’ll have to play around with this and see if its one of those two things that are causing it. I’d imagine that even a simple test.js script should cause the same problem. Hopefully I can change it on my PC and see the results.

Geraldo, I list all the rendering templates that are available for WAV files. If you don’t have any 24bit templates, then there won’t be any. Vegas does not come with any by default, but if you make some up, Trackalizer will show them.

Thanks my friend!
I will try the templates right now.
I really love what you've done.
It is a GREAT script.
Best regards from Brazil...
Cheers...

The thousands separator in the U.S. is a ",". The render template for 44,100 KHz becomes 44 100 KHz in other countries. So, the script can't find them.

Hope you get your power back soon :-(

Edit: btw, that's usually a non breaking space, not a normal space.

Sorry, but how do I make a 24/44.1 Template and "where" should I put it?
Thanks...

I’m Back! Or rather, the electrical power is back. Boy we do get highly dependant on those electrons. ;-)

There is a new version of Trackalizer 1.2.0 that adds 4 additional 24bit templates (48K/24bit in mono & stereo and 96K/24bit in mono & stereo) I’ve also fixed the error with the Trackalizer not working if the template cannot be found.

Thanks Roger. I knew the problem wasn’t actually because of the internationalization but rather that I wasn’t checking that after I set the template I checked to make sure it actually worked. That check is in there now. It was the internationalization that just uncovered this error. All fixed now. Anyone who changed their regional settings to get around this can change them back.

Enjoy,

~jr

Trackalizer 1.4 is now available for download. You can now select any render format that Vegas supports and it will treat mono and stereo tracks separately. Enjoy,

Geraldo,

>>Sorry, but how do I make a 24/44.1 Template and "where" should I put it?

To create a template, use File -> Render As and select the format you want (WAV in this case). Click Custom, then change the settings as desired. Type in a new name and description, then click the Save button (icon looks like a floppy disk). Click OK to exit the Custom Settings Dialog.

Your new template will be in the Render As list (just cancel out of the render dialog) and you should see it the list when you run the script.
