Looks like there has been a nice decrease in price of the Blackmagic Design since I've last checked -
The Intensity is now priced at $199 down from the $349 price I saw late last year.

Lee (at al),

A little late to the party, but just wanted to post this quickly. Caveat is that so far not a lot of testing on my part, but ....

New system, i7-860, VPro 9.0c.

Just installed the new BMD Decklink Studio 2 primarily for monitoring. Also just bought a 32" Sharp Aquos HD LED LCD TV (LC32LE700). No dramas with Vegas at all.

External monitoring via HDMI to the HDTV is nothing short of brilliant with HDV material from the Vegas t/l. At the same time I get automatic downconvert to SD via composite output to a pro SONY production monitor - widescreen auto letterboxed.

One thing I had to tweak - external monitoring needed to be set to Best Full.

M2T clips from the timeline play back at a full 29.97. No jaggies with the HD display.

More testing to come as I get more familiar with the available connections of the Decklink card.
