Faster Select All + Delete / or two commands with one key

My quick way to edit is:
- With Ripple Edit turned on for All track
- Select a region with mouse, like creating a loop region
- Select all (I have the keyboard shortcut A, even faster than Ctrl-A) to have all the track selected
- And hit Delete to delete the region (and split the events)

It is quite fast way to edit, but the annoying step is the need for Select all. If you have no event selected, the Delete works fine, same as All selected. But if you had to select any event on any track, than only the event on that track will be deleted-splited, so I always have to hit Select All before delete to make it happen for all of the tracks.

I have two possible solution in my mind:
1. If it is possible to make a keyboard shortcut which makes to thing with one key: Select All + Delete
(Maybe with a script?)

2. Or maybe there is a command that works like Delete, but always for all the tracks.

The goal is to make it even faster than the Select region + 2 keystrokes, to get it with Select region + 1 keystroke :) Do you have any idea to make it so?

Thank you in advance!

Does it help to uncheck any track and then perform your deletion operation?

If you have a device like the Shuttle Contour, you could create a Macro to do this. The only one keystroke would be needed on the Shuttle.

Thanks for the suggestion. I used to do like this, but time-to-time I missed the uncheck, and than had to undo, worst case not instantly recognized that...
