Based on Initiation @m3lquixd👍, (batch) adding video/image files onto timeline seems more logical between alternative of the 2:

The scale-modus will guarantee an event uniform regardless source file's what and how. (I think pan means panorama but no idea about its verb, scale is here the most suitable word.)
This is important for FX-transfer or things like that.
Right-mouse-functions in the Pan/Crop Window remain for individual adjustment. 

Another Request:
VEGAS should give indication that event content has alpha-portion instead of the confusing black background.
