Another vote for 8c.

I was looking for SmartRender for AVCHD, better preview speed (i.e. better multicore utilization during preview), and a BD template that is multipass with a max bitrate of 24Mbps (or higher).

I fooled around with 9 and there are some nice things in there but as I wrote above nothing that make me want to open my wallet.

I've upgraded every time since version 3 but this is the first time that I didn't see a need. Well actually I skipped 6 because I liked 5 so much. I'm not hung up on upgrade fever anymore. Been there done that. If it works then I stay with it. I'm still using SoundForge 6.

Vegas 7e with Cineform HDV
and Corel VideoStudio X2 for burning Blue-ray
I use a Canon HV30 and could not be happier with the above software.
Stable, reliable and unbelievable projects.
I usually jump on the latest and greatest but I exercised control this time and I'm overjoyed that I did. It will take more than perception to get me to switch. I'm about productivity and stability.

I am using Vegas since version 4 and followed all updates until 9b.
Being disappointed by Sony's recent developments (or better: lack thereof) I started switching to Final Cut Studio 3 a few weeks ago...

Started with version 4.0 and now using 8.0c.
I purchased the upgrade to 9.0 when it was on sale but have yet to install & use it because of all the problems I am reading about.

Started with 6, now with 8.c. No problems to speak of.
Probably won't upgrade until 10 or 12 :)
