Frame Overlap and Visual Bug

Skylar-Jensen wrote on 4/14/2021, 1:11 PM

I'm trying to edit some videos together, but anytime the video transitions to a new clip, some terrible visual distortion occurs that seems to be a frame from the previous clip blending with the current one. This even happens when I skip across the time line, with frames from the previous clip I was on blending in with wherever I skip to. This visual glitch changes every time I skip or boot up my project, appearing in different places at different times, and usually disperses after running the clip for a few seconds, but often appears again later. I don't know what's causing it, and I've tried some different fixes, like changing the file types or some of the settings of the project. If I try to render it, most of the glitches I saw that time around get baked into the end result. It's kind of bizarre to me.

I'm not the most experienced with this type of software and such, so I'd appreciate any help or support I can get.

An example of what I see.
