I'm trying to work out ideal MP4 encode settings in Handbrake for 1080i M2T files created in Vegas, for directly delivery to a Flash video player (no YouTube, I host the files myself). I use Handbrake instead of Vegas for this due to the better deinterlacing filter and render queue manager.
So far I can make the video look fine at a good size (RF23), but I find that Flash is a bit stuttery when playing it back, like it's at ~20 FPS instead of 30 (video is fine in a normal player).
So I was wondering if anyone has been through this before, and come up with some ideal settings. I'd like to keep file size small, but I also want to make to play back smooth.
