What you're doing is what we call a straw man argument, because if vegas had what you wanted, an option to encode in HEVC 422 10bit instead of complaining about there not being an option you'd be complaining about it taking 17mins to encode 1min of footage and comparing it to how fast HEVC 420 10bit encoded. It would still be a case of a lack of education forming your outrage over a subject you didn't understand

You want 422 10 HEVC hardware encoding, it doesn't currently exist on the PC consumer platform, so you're now arguing in bad faith. You embarrassed yourself with not understanding the difference between hardware and software encoding but instead of thanking the people that helped you understand you go back to your original complaint that vegas doesn't have a built in HEVC 422 10bit encoding option.

  • A straw man is a form of argument and an informal fallacy of having the impression of refuting an argument, whereas the real subject of the argument was not addressed or refuted

A Don Quixote will push the 422/10bit-mp4 into the near future internet video standard.

To back or not to back!

That's the slogan.

It is never really an "if" question, only when, and or how.... We're already there, it's already now, it's happening with HDR streaming. Not all players are on board, but that's just details for the controllers that be to finally figure out. Till then, Blu-ray still exists for a good reason, thank God.

If you wanna break the rule,

1, create a definition others than Rec2020;

2, find someone who produce the cables over HDMI2.0a or DP1.4.
