How do you create a PQ list in Vegas Pro 22?

I'm trying to burn an audio cd and when I choose track at once and it burns the cd with no error, it won't play back on my computer so I tried Disc at once and it says PQ (Red Book) validation error. No PQ list. I've found information on how to fix this but none of the steps are available in Pro 22.

You likely have not created Audio CD Track Regions:

Watch This:

You can see the CD Track List in View / Edit Details / Audio CD Track List

I think I did what you did in the video but now when I select Disc at once it says track 1 has a pause greater than 1 at the start of the first track and doesn't give me an option to burn it.. And it's only 1 track.

Post CD Track List from Edit Details

If your plan is to burn only one CD track. Try this.

Delete everything on the timeline before and after your defined CD Track Region and move everything to the start of the Vegas Pro timeline.

You may be twenty years too late, but the program you were after was likely this: CD Architect

I think I'm having some other issue that has nothing to do with Vegas Pro 22. I found out that I had bought Sound Forge Studio 17 quite some time ago and I was able to download it to my computer so I tried burning a cd with that software. It said it burned without errors but it wouldn't play on my computer. In fact, when I loaded it, it says it's a blank CD. For some reason burning cds doesn't seem to be working. This might be a Windows problem so I'm going to do some investigating.

@Sheryl-DeMott your image is showing "Selected events". John's last image is showing "Audio CD Track List".

Here's how I do it:

  1. Put the audio events to be written to the CD on the timeline.
  2. Put the cursor at the beginning of the first one and press "N" - this will create a new CD track starting at that location and will automatically end at the end of the timeline. You will see the "red" marker lines like in John's first image.
  3. Go to where the next CD track should begin and press "N" again
  4. Repeat step 3 as needed

Once you have all of the track markers created, try the "Disc at once audio CD".

After reading this, I realized that I didn't use the right markers to select what I wanted to record so I fixed my mistake and was able to make a CD but the recording has ping noises at different parts of the track where I had got some of the audio out. Perhaps I didn't edit the audio correctly. I guess I need to find some instructions and figure out what I might have done wrong.
