Mmmmm! Curious that you would call it Sony Vegas 17 when you didn't mean it - don't you think?

Here's a way to do it:

1) Use the Media Generator to create white text on a transparent background. Place that on a video track above your video.

2) On the text track, go to the hamburger menu and set compositing mode to Multiple (mask).

here is what it shows when i do this. The first step instead of getting text from media generator i had a clip and i applied 'bcc extruded text' and this is what it shows. What exactly does this do, because im not sure how this would help me get 3d text and make the cinematics go through it

apologies, I'm not the best at vegas pro.

I can't tell from your screen capture what you're doing. Do you have the title on a track above the video you want to show through it? Have you set up the track that has the text on it to Multiple (Mask)?

Yes i set the track that has text to multiple (mask) but it made my screen turn black. What exactly does this do?

I've looked at that section of the video twice and it looks to me like all they're doing is adding some blur to the text and shrinking it to make it look like it's zooming away from the viewer. It doesn't interact with the scene at all as far as I can see

System 1:

Windows 10
i9-10850K 10 Core
128.0G RAM
Nvidia RTX 3060 Studio driver [most likely latest]
Resolution        3840 x 2160 x 60 hertz
Video Memory 12G GDDR5

System 2:

Lenovo Yoga 720
Core i7-7700 2.8Ghz quad core, 8 logical
16G ram
Intel HD 630 gpu 1G vram
Nvidia GTX 1050 gpu 2G vram

@FL4METO

It's hard to know what exactly you want. I see the same thing as Michael H.

Are you trying to get the text to disappear behind the main video?

Are you looking for something like one of these?

Vegas Pro 18 Edit, Vegas Movie Studio 16 Platinum, Magix Video Pro X16, Magix Movie Studio Platinum 2024, Xara Designer Pro X19, Samplitude Pro X8 Suite, Music Maker 2025 Premium, SF Audio Cleaning Lab 4, Sound Forge Pro 16 and more.

@FL4METO - Do you want your VIDEO to appear WITHIN THE TEXT?

FL4METO wrote on 10/18/2020, 3:27 AM

Thank you all of you for your input so far. @john-brown the first video is something i would like, but what i would like is the text to be motion tracked on a floor or something then my cinematics in which i have recorded to go through the text. I have a example of exactly what i want in a video at 5:56 in that video is exactly what im trying to do.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but when the cinematics go through the text, i am bewildered in what i'm meant to do for that.

john-brown wrote on 10/18/2020, 8:19 AM

@FL4METO

We don't know what you mean by "cinematics go through the text."

I see a black screen at 5:56 and then the title starts full-screen at 5:57, overlaid on the video. The title decreases in size (zooms out) and moves to a position on the road. The background video also moves. Right after the third image above, there is a quick transition to another scene. I never see "cinematics" (I presume that you mean the video) go through the text; the text is always on top of the background video. The text just decreases in size until the transition to the next scene.

Do you know how to use motion tracking to change the size and position of text?
