how to set real time display in trimmer?

Mindmatter wrote on 9/14/2022, 6:59 AM

Excuse my ignorance in this one - but I can't seem to understand why my clip in the trimmer shows the beginning cursor position at 11 hours, 12 minutes and 42 seconds...? I just can't find the way to set it to zero and show the real time length of the clip.
Thanks for any help!

Probably the files have timecode in the metadata. If this is the case you can go to the file properties and check the "Use Custom Timecode" option and leave the value set to 00:00:00;00

@Mindmatter Hi, how long is the clip? & if you right click the time at the bottom what is that set to?

@Mindmatter it might help if you show us an image indicating where you are seeing that information.

@Mindmatter

As @joelsonforte.br described. I usually set the timecode in my camera to zero just before I walk out the door.
