How to do its 3D camera zoom in and zoom out effects.

Marco. wrote on 10/3/2020, 5:34 AM

The zooms and pans are part of the source animation, not the transition.

xcxz-a wrote on 10/3/2020, 5:40 AM

@Marco. How to do the 3d zoom source animation. it seems to have parallax when zoom.

Marco. wrote on 10/3/2020, 7:50 AM

It's not a postproduction effect.

Actually, it is... Here's how to do it in VEGAS. After doing this, save it as a preset and you won't have to do it every time.

Awesome Frosty!! To further this, the 3d camera moves can be done in Hitfilm Pro or through Vegas Post which has Hitfilm in it as well.

@fr0sty

This is the simplest one-layer zoom, not what I mean.

I mean the parallax zoom of text and video, with blur and smooth motion.

@david-ruby It is unnecessary to use VEGAS Effects.

Vegas Pro has parent 3d source track motion to do 3d camera, but its control is very very terrible.

3D space parallax. When you move, the distance of all objects in your eye will change.

david-ruby wrote on 10/12/2020, 9:50 AM

Yes 3d parallax works much better in Hitfilm pro.

Seems like the text in 3D space (camera mode enable), I doubt this video edited in Premiere Pro or VEGAS Pro, must be done in After Effects or VEGAS Effects.

vegas pro is NLE software, u dont expect it to do complex edit too much in NLE

This video pretty old, but yea, u required a plugins to do this simple FX. U can do same thing in Premiere Pro, FCPX, Davinci Resolve without plugins.

VEGAS Pro need to have the exact same OFX, only work around is send to VE, but very cumbersome workflow just to do that FX

That is why I listed few OFX that is very popular in industry use, hopefully to this FX natively inside VEGAS Pro.

VEGAS supports text in 3d space, though the UI isn't exactly easy to work with. VEGAS Effects is better suited for it.

@alifftudm95 It is a very common and basic style effect, not a complex edit. Thousands of guys are doing this style effects in youtube.

It wasn't common back then till a video titled "Turkey Watch Tower" and highly influenced person Sam Kold popularize the FX, sadly VEGAS still don't have this FX natively till today.
