As for MP3, mostly resetting Vegas Pro may work (hold ctrl+shift while starting the application), or uninstall reinstall.

Before resetting, can you share your log file called "fileio_x64.log" which can be found in C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\17.0\fileio_x64.log ?

Thanks, @set, for the alert and prep work, and @Kacper-Majewski, for providing the FileIO log. I see from the log above that the mp3plug2.dll is not getting loaded - this is the plugin which handles MP3 files correctly, and in a normal situation, this line would show up:

Can you try resetting your preferences and see if the MP3 file gets loaded correctly? Please provide an updated FileIO log in case it works.

Also, do you have any kind of virus scanners installed on the PC? That may block the loading of this DLL.
