Zippy,

I'm guessing that playing clips simultaneously in the trimmer and preview window results in a framerate slowdown in one or both on your machine, making it look like the preview has switched from Best to something less than Best. This would be understandable, and not a bug. Or are you saying that the preview window actually changes its preview setting? That would be a little odd, BUT REALLY NO BIG DEAL, EH?

I did exactly what you posted as well and I could't get anything to happen to my preview quality, it stayed at Best. Seems to me like your system is kind of slow and cant handle multitasking very well. Might want to look into a processor upgrade, maybe a better memory, oops I mean more memory.

I am a teacher. Zippy is like some of my students. He will do anything to get attention. It's also interesting that Vegas is so stable that we all have time to respond to idiots like Zippy. On other forums people are dealing with real bugs in the systems they are using.

I OPEN TEN INSTANCES OF VEGAS AND THEN OPEN THE TRIMMER IN EACH ONE. I THEN RUN THEM ALL AND THEN HIT PLAY AND STOP AT THE SAME TIME IN ODD AND EVEN INSTANCES. AT THAT MOMENT I CLOSE THE PREVIEW WINDOW ON THE 5TH INSTANCE THAT IS SET TO BEST AND OPEN THE PREVIEW WINDOW ON THE 8TH INSTANCE THAT IS SET TO PREVIEW OF THE PREVIEW. THEN THE 9TH INSTANCE CRASHES!

VEGAS SUCKS! THIS IS A BUG.
AND THIS HAPPENS ON MY ATARI 1040.
WHAT THE HELL!!!

Why do people continue to answer Zippy's post ??????? If you would not answer his stupid posts, he would have to stop posting. Mostly likely some young fart that has nothing better to do, and has no friends.

It's amazing to me how nearly every person who responds to my posts likes to make PERSONAL attacks on me (negative comments, foul language, etc.). I've never made a harmful personal comments towards any one of you. I've made general comments not directed at anyone in particular....which is the way things should be done in a forum setting, especially when there are disagreements. Even though you may disagree with me and my posts, you don't have to personally attack me....or anyone else for that matter. Maybe some feel empowered by it in some strange sick way. I don't know.

And I can't figure out why people feel the need to "defend" Vegas. Maybe to justify the fact that they spent the money on it. Or maybe because "they chose" it and have to live with it....so thus defend it at all costs....like an oversized boob job!!

Now notice that these are only two hours apart so there is obvious sensitivity. So I recommend that we switch to a strong, time-released dosage and we'll see how that works.

As I have said before, all forums to my knowledge prohibit and/or discourage the same things. Sony has changed the wording of the forum rules, but they same basically the same things as the old one did and every other forum on the internet..........such as:
