That error message says nothing. I don’t see how anyone can help you, especially when you’re being completely vague as to when it happens. What do you mean by when you start up? Does the message pop up the moment you start up? Or is Vegas displaying some information about where in the startup process it is before it happens? If so, what does it say?

It says "Failed to initialize script host".

Previous cases of this error include these 2:

First try repairing .NET Framework as described in section 13 of this post. If that doesn't work then work through the steps in this post, in particular the clean uninstall and reinstall described in section 14. Last resort would be a reinstall of Windows, as worked for the 2nd of those previous cases.
