I ordered Studio Platinum by mistake. (Download version. No exchanges, or refunds from B&H) Is there a way to 'upgrade without having to pay the full Suite price. I heard rumblings about a version 14 on the 'couple of months' horizon. If this is true, I can wait. If this is NOT true can I upgrade.
When I download the software, how do I know what build it is, and can I d/l the latest build from the site?

I am currently running Pinnacle Studio 20. It's addon selection (newBlue and Boris effects) is very limited. I also have some newBlue stuff I purchased and can't load them into Pinnacle. At any rate, I apologize for ever leaving Movie Studio. 😢

Thank you to all.

V14 is supposed to be out in just a few weeks.

Today's post at https://www.facebook.com/vegascreativesoftware/ says it's on the way.

You can download from here: http://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/downloads/ I'm not sure if it works like Vegas Pro, which now downloads a 4MB small file and then fetches the latest build (approx 140MB) when you run it. Once it's installed you can see the version from the menu: Help > About

My recent Vegas MS13 trial download worked like that but my actual purchase gave me an email with links to the actual files. There was no initial 'download manager' file on purchase.

OK. I see that the official download page I linked above actually just links to the large, "direct" installer (approx 431MB). Unfortunately the build number is not in the filename.
