Imported Video Becomes Pixelated?

Recently when I import videos to Sony Vegas, the video quality becomes pixelated. I record the content with Bandicam and when I replay the original MP4 it runs perfectly and flawlessly. Immediately when I put it onto Sony Vegas to edit, it becomes pixelated. I can even see this pixelation issue in preview so I don't think it's a rendering problem. This problem even happens if I match video properties on startup.

Here is a video before the pixelation problem. Just skip to the middle or skip around if you'd like:

Here is a video when I first noticed the pixelation problem:

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Sony Vegas but it didn't work... any help would be highly appreciated! Please feel free to mention any video editing alternatives as well if nothing works.

What version of Vegas?

Bandicam has long caused issues with Vegas. See section 1 of this.

If you want to edit then render before uploading to YouTube then this can help.

Sony Vegas 13. I did a little bit more research and noticed a common answer that says that Sony Vegas doesn't work well with xvid. Is that true? Currently I have been using xvid as the codec for Bandicam... think I'm going to change it for either h.264 or to lagarith.

I have used fraps in the past but i get video/audio sync issues and I have never had a good time with fraps.

I haven't used Xvid in years but I think it used to work OK as long as an Xvid codec is installed. However H.264 is more modern and efficient and well supported in Vegas, so I suggest you use that. If Bandicam forces you to wrap it in an AVI container instead of MP4 then you'd probably need the x264vfw codec installed for decoding and that might not behave well. You might struggle to get smooth playback with Lagarith, but it should be lossless.
