So, I always use SRT files to do my captioning on sony vegas and used the insert subtitles from file option and never had a problem but today when I click it, nothing happens, I was in add and remove programs today but not sure what I would have deleted to affect Vegas, any help would be great

There are some posts - if you do not find any help, you can ask - something more concrete - the question.

I did have a look but couldn't find anything, it's simply just when I click "insert subtitles from file" nothing happens anymore, just started happening today
As I said, it's hard to follow you with the information you provide.
We do not even know with which Vegas version and with which build you work.
For me, with Vegas Pro 18 and Build 434 it works - at least the step you have last spoken.
