I am thinking to upgrade my current HP Z1 AIO workstation to a new customized system from MainGear. I am interested in the new TURBO series because of its small form factor case. The main components that I am currently thinking about are:
- CPU: AMD RYZEN 9 3950X - 16 Cores - 3.5GHz (Boosts to 4.7GHz)
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti
- Cooling: MAINGEAR APEX Liquid Cooling System
- RAM: 64GB HyperX Predator DDR4 3600MHz (2x32GB)
- System & Applications SSD: 2TB Seagate FireCuda 520 Gen4 M.2 NVMe (Read/Write up to 5,000/4,400 MB/s)
- Working SSD: 2TB Seagate FireCuda 520 Gen4 M.2 NVMe (Read/Write up to 5,000/4,400 MB/s)
- Storage SSD: 4TB SAMSUNG 860 PRO Series SSD
However, I am a little hesitant about the AMD processor because all my previous computers since the last 31 years was always based on Intel processors!
So, for those who have information or experience on both AMD and Intel CPUs ..which would be better for Vegas Pro, AMD RYZEN 9 3950X or Intel Core i9-10980XE?
