Internal video preview full screen in my time line flashes unstable

@RogerS Since I couldn´t stop Windows all updates anymore (which caused the flickering in the first place) I was stuck with the flicker until now.
Options>Preferences>Internal
[In my version of VP (21) I hold down Shift, click on Options and find Internal just under Preferences.]
Search for "opencl/" and change "Enable Open CL/GL Interop" from TRUE to FALSE.

Thanks, that solved the issue!

At first I couldn't find the Internal tab under Preferences - I'm using VP22.

But as Mats said, its in the dropdown Option Menu when you hold Shift.

Well, I just installed Vegas 23 and that brought back the flickering :-(

Now the issue is that the "Enable Open CL/GL Interop" setting has disappeared from the Internal menu.
Any ideas?

I don't believe VEGAS uses Open CL anymore so that command is redundant. You might try official support.

It could be but then it is odd that several other Open CL still remain in VP 23 and - moreover - the same issue appears in to whatever library is/programming routines are the successor to Open CL in VP?

About official support: I don't have my hopes set very high as this issue has been around for several versions / years now and still hasn't been addressed in the latest version.

I'll post it in the VP 23 thread though.

@ericBcreator This is the first full release of the new video engine which I believe is moving to DirectX. Filing a support request can help the developers become aware of this issue and get the info they need from you to fix it.

As part of my duties as the Vegas Pro Archivist, I built a Windows 11 Pro system and installed every version of Vegas Pro that I have ever owned. I also have a Windows 10 Pro system that I actually use that boots from the same disk with Windows Boot Manager. I observed that this screen flashing phenomenon began with Vegas Pro 21 and continues through Vegas Pro 23-302. Try as I might, I have been unable to get rid of the issue using the i9-13900K UHD770 video adapter on Windows 11 Pro.

Today, I installed my old AMD Radeon RX480-8GB video adapter and moved the HDMI cable to it. No flashing.

I can provide any data that anyone wants on the subject except a way to get these versions of Vegas Pro to run smoothly using the on-die Intel video adapter alone.

I don't have the issue on my laptop, but it has an AMD Radeon R7 M460 in addition to the Intel UHD 620 adapter.

Vegas Pro 23-302 on Windows 11 Pro with Radeon RX480.

@john_dennis I think you should put a warning on that Win 11 Pro video capture with the flashing!

I've never had that and I use a second HD monitor along with my main editing 4K monitor.

@Reyfox I think you're right. I forgot about people who are prone to seizures from strobing lights.

I'm going to remove the RX 480 and go back to Windows 10 Pro for now.

You can also adjust the track headers to show those options directly on the track header.
