iPhone slow motion plays at real time speed

wilri001 wrote on 4/16/2017, 7:56 AM

video imported from iPhone6s shot at 720 240fps plays and renders at real time speed.

The project says it's at 240fps. I've tried changing it to 30fps, but it doesn't help.

Uploading from the iPhone to YouTube and downloading from YouTube and importing to Vegas works.

If you want a slow motion, you have to reduce the playback-speed of the event, not the framerate of the project.
Here is a good tutorial:

Use Ctrl+left click on an edge of an event to slow it down, or right click & change the playback rate on the event.

Video files normally have a playback rate coded in the file so I prefer to convert to an image sequence first. You can import at any FPS you want.

"insane sequence first". That sounds like most of my editing jobs. Previous post was edited so my post makes no sense now. 😀

At least you don't have a "boatloader" problem.
