Then will VEGAS Pro transplant Video PX's "INFUSION Engine" or not? It seems to be able to boost playback's fluency 8.6 times comparing to orignal.
In the fine print they're using 7250x5000 footage with a Nvidia 960 GPU which isn't very powerful but does have hardware video decoding. That makes a massive difference at that resolution. it could be they turned on hardware decode like they did in vegas pro 17. If they moved other playback computations to GPU I would expect them to have used a faster GPU

You mean that 8.5 times is just a exaggeration.
they would have chose the best case scenario and for playback only, no effects added at that resolution, 8.6x faster compared to no gpu decode.

That was just my guess due to the testing rig used and the ultra high resolution video used for the benchmark, but it could have better playback than vegas pro17. Davinci Resolve (studio?) has faster playback but their engine demands fast gpu's or even multiple fast gpu. Magix used a last generation slowish Nvidia 960 for this speed test

It seems that even if turn down preview quality to "preview auto", VEGAS Pro's playback is still sluggish. I dont know why. Hope it will get better in future builds.
