I am seeing the same results with rotating graphics (any size) past 45 degrees (+/-).
I tried both JPEG and PNG. Same problem. -45 or +135 seems to cause the biggest problems.

Using 32-bit version on Win XP with Intel Core 2 Duo.

My machine has 8GB DDR-2, and a 12GB swap file; yet I could not get v9 to run with .jpg's at all. Thankfully Mr. Rhoden and Mike Kujbida (sp?) suggested a free .jpg to .png converter, IrfanView. In less than ten minutes (and with no further expenses) the "large .jpg problem" was gone.

Thanks for the info but I am encountering the rotation graphic blur with both jpg and png files of ANY size.
I have Paint Shop Pro for any graphical conversions as well BUT this problem is happening with graphics I have created and saved in PNG or JPEG and with JPG photos from digital SLR cameras.

FYI, I am using the 32-bit V9.0a on a Core 2 Duo with WinXP Home.

Thankfully most of my rotations are done through Track Motion (problem not apparent) as opposed to the Pan/Crop. However, there are times when the Pan/Crop is the preferred method and some users do rely on that workflow. Either way, it's a bug the programmers need to be aware of for a quick fix.

Good thing I still have Vegas 7.0 installed. :-o.

RedEyeRob came up with this solution in a different thread.Rotation Blur
anyone still using version 9a, here is a temporary fix for the Jpeg blur issue. I find that if you alter the "source" field in the Pan/Crop window, changing either the maintain aspect to "no" or the stretch to fill frame to "no", the blur problem goes away.

I put a report into SCS on the rotation blur issue. Have not heard back from them yet. Meanwhile, this solution works for me. THANKS RedEyeRob!

I can confirm the workaround of setting Maintain Asped Ratio to NO eliminates the blur. Thanks for the tip. Just have to be careful not to resize to a distorted image when rotating.

Now if we can get a fix on this problem and the Text events resorting to default setting when you do a Copy/Paste/Undo. Another thread regarding this 9.0a bug:

SCS is now very aware of this bug.
I submitted a bug report and then a veg file and here's their response.
Now all we have to do is be patient and wait for the next release.

Hi Mike,

Thank you for writing back and providing the additional information. These issues have been reproduced and escalated to the development team who will work to provide fixes in an upcoming release.
