Try this:

File / Render Video
Save as Type -> DirectShow AVI Files (*.AVI)
Format -> DV Video Encoder

That should work for you in order to bring it into Vegas.

Thanks for the suggestions on getting canopus AVI files on a Vegas5 video track.
I eventually went to the Canopus web site and found a DV codec which I installed and solved the problem.

My initial tests suggest that Imaginate creates slightly smoother motion (still slightly jerky) than Vegas5, however there is at an enormous hit on the sharpness of the image. The Vegas5 renders are tack sharp whereas the Imaginate render is very soft.

I've used the Imaginate for almost 2,000 pictures and have NOT experienced any "jerky" movement at all. Additionally, the picture quality was excellent.

You must have some setting out of wack.
