Large batch render adding watermark. How?

I'm planning a site to showcase my underwater stock footage. I need to render out a very large batch of cips (in the thousands).

Source files are PAL DV AVI and destination files probably to be something like WMV9 320 x 240 with a watermark.

How would you automate this, in particular adding the watermark? Somehow in VirtualDub perhaps? Procoder? Vegas?

Procoder can add the watermark and it does a fine job of rendering to .wmv
