MAGIX MP4 - Render 720p crashing!

stef-i wrote on 8/31/2017, 9:51 AM

Hello, thanks for this great update and Vegas 15!. I notice that when I am using new MAGIX MP4 option, my MTS raw video rendering is always crashing when trying to encode in 720 50fps resolution. 1080 50fps is just fine. Only 720 50fps is crashing no matter what setting (bitrate, profile etc) I am changing! Sony AVC and Mainconcept are also good on 720 50fps, but with MAGIX new AVC encoding is crashing. Also when trying to do 720 25 fps MAGIX AVC is doing the same thing.

I try to disable so4compoundplug.dll, but not luck. Anyone else having these problems? On Vegas 13 and 14 there is no such problems. We need 720p because of our long web videos.

I have all the latest drivers from Nvidia etc. Laptop is Asus ROG i7 4720HQ 2.6 GHz with GTX 970M.

Thanks in advance

Set, thanks for responding. I found in outer forums that turning OFF "gpu acceleration of video processing" will fix crashing. But please confirm, so that's mean that Vegas 15 won't use video card for rendering or ?

Thanks

You can still use video card to accelerate AVC rendering by selecting NVENC in "Encode Mode" in the custom render settings. NVENC not shown in my screenshot because I don't have a supported GPU:

you may want to put dynamic ram preview to zero first (from default 200) before turning off GPU . I have issues under certain conditions (still do not know which, or which source files, plugins) with dynamic ram settings other than 0 in vegas 14 and 15.
