@Photo_G@Dexcon I replied to the email from NewBlue Naomi reg 'support plan in the future for updates', we'll see what reply i get next wk, but for a perpetual licence @ £41, support plan or not i'm quite happy with what i got 😊
In the tab for just Transitions, there's i think all listed there that are on the website, but it says 'Ultimate' at the end but in my fx list on Vegas there's no Ultimate, i wonder if there is a difference,

That will be an interesting response. It will be of concern if NBFX offer the maintenance plan to those who got the el cheapo 41 sterling offer but not to those who bought TotalFX7 at the then full upgrade cost in the 12 months prior to the new purchase model.
@Former user the Ultimate list looks the same as what is listed in TotalFX.
@Dexcon I would think that the maintenance would be priced the same when the year is up. I am sure that the price will be much more than the cost of admission if someone wants to pursue it.
Side note: Pinnacle Studio had the same offer a while back, TotalFX for $99. This offer from Magix and NBFX is outstanding for the price.

@Photo_G The empty Scene folder is for your own custom templates, File - Save to library - Project, puts it in that folder, just in case you didn't know,
Why did you uninstall MEP? Have you looked at what you get with it? Just Travel Maps alone is worth the price of entry. NB Total FX7 is a bonus. Plus, you get a whole lot of templates and a lot of music and sound FX that you can use in Vegas. Just download the additional content and use what you want and can in Vegas.
I keep other nle's on my machine just because some of them have things that my main editor does not.
@Former user ... just two questions if I could ... 1/ which Titler Pro build did you get with the MEP/TotalFX deal? The one I currently have with the old TotalFX7 suite from the splash screen is version 7.8 build 210922.
2/ In MEP with the Travel Route feature, can the route animation be done without a car/boat/plane graphic - so with the route line only, or maybe with your own imported graphic?
I'm now thinking of getting the MEP/TotalFX deal (new purchase) because the route animation and map animation look good. If I do, I'll go for the MEP Plus version because the NBFX Stylisers in the Premium version would already be in TotalFX. And this might be the only way to transition from the old TotalFX package to the current one and thus access the maintenance plan if need be.
Thank you so much @Former user ... I'm going to get the MEP Plus/TotalFX offer mainly for the travel route animation.

@Dexcon Yep @ £48.99 with TotalFX that's hard to beat 👍 have a play with MEP, it's a bit more basic than Vegas & the tracks are upside down in my eye, but the playback res on 4k with transitions is good & the export is amazing, i export a 25min 4k clip in about 5-6mins, 😮 there's a couple of bugs with Section & Size/Position but when they're sorted i'll be tempted to go back & use MEP as a general editor & maybe Vegas as more of an effects editor, the editing is simple in MEP too, U,T & Z for cutting & trimming,,, I used it for yrs n only swapped to Vegas so i could have Boris stuff, mainly Mocha,

Thanks for pointing that out. Maybe I shouldn't dismiss it so quickly. Travel maps are an interesting feature.
@Dexcon As Gid showed above, it's the latest version of Titler Pro 7. I also own a full license for TP7 and I can confirm that it's the same one. Also, it looks like if you're making a new purchase instead of an upgrade (or annual subscription), you'd need to buy Movie Studio 2022 Platinum (or equivalent) in order to get the NewBlue TotalFX deal.
@misohoza@Former user I've been playing around with Movie Studio 22 Platinum (== MEP Premium 2022 in the US?) and found that you can also map a folder to your LUTs under the Import tab and apply them to a clip. There's no way to adjust intensity or interpolation doing it this way, but the free VisionColor LUT plugin doesn't work in Movie Studio so this is at least a workaround for this limitation in the event that a particular camera LUT is needed on a clip.

@Photo_G Hi, yep MEP Premium 2022 is what i have in the UK, to buy MEP Plus - New Purchase it's listed here as £48.99 inc TotalFX, there's no difference with Plus + Premium, apart from you don't get NewBlue Stylizers 5 Illuminate, I don't know why they call it Premium 🤦♂️
Yep there's limited controls inn MEP & a few things that after a while aren't detailed enough, that's why i bought Vegas, but you can zoom in & out on the preview screen, it has impressive export speed & very good playback at good res, so for the price it's a steal,
@Former user Agreed. There seems to be a lot to like about MEP+22/MS22P, but it's really only useful for basic edits (and the additional content mentioned above) - not for more advanced stuff like compositing, baseline color grading, etc..(VEGAS Pro v19 rocks for this kind of stuff). As for me though, I'll be keeping it on my system. 😁
For reference, here's a screenshot of where I added the LUTPresets on the Import tab of Movie Studio 22 Platinum:
@john-brown@misohoza@Dexcon Just a quick head's up. I launched MAGIX Travel Maps, went into Settings, and unchecked "Send analysis data to MAGIX", then clicked close. However, each time I re-launch the program, this option is checked again. I guess if one wanted to disable it for privacy, they'd need to turn it off during each session.

@Photo_G 👍 If you look at my YT vids (link in Signature) they are really simple with a 12fr crossfade, there's no fancy intro or effects, they're educational vids so need to be true to life & a realistic colour with little amounts of fancy crap in them 😁 MEP does that well for me, but i did want more 'stuff' & more control generally than MEP offers, so I bought Vegas, mainly so i could use Mocha to hide my van reg plates in the vids, (Vegas is grumpy & could be improved a lot) but i don't have a wife, life, kids or pets so playing on my pc is better than watching crap on tv on the evenings, 😊

@Photo_G Do you mean this box in MEP settings? I have it off but i just closed & opened MEP & it's always off,

I disagree, it's for much, much more than you think, and compositing is relatively easy in MEP but not as sophisticated as in Vegas. That said, don't compare MEP with Vegas Pro; a more realistic comparison would be with Video Pro X.

@john-brown Thanks...I'm sure you're right, I just need to do some learning. I'm glad that I have both!
I think the big message to take from this is that these NB effects are not linked to a particular product or version and should still be available in future versions of the nle's. That is great!
