Photoshop menus can be created. The main point is layer naming. Here is an example of one that works for me.
https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/full-functioning-dvd-menu-from-photoshop--115561/

The FRAMEMASK layers are Rectangles that define the hotspot of the buttons but are transparent. The ARROWS are HIGHLIGHTs that are transparent until you use the remote to navigate to them or hover your mouse over them.

You import this type of file into DVDA as a MENU, not as MEDIA. Then link the buttons. The HELP file gives you the naming conventions but can be a bit confusing. If you need more help I might be able to create a video showing this being done.

Thanks Dot, a video would be very helpful I'm a visual learner anyway. In the mean time I will look at your link above as well, and hopefully you can upload a video here or to YouTube perhaps.

Okay, give me a day or so. About to go to bed now but will start it in the morning.

Hey Dot, thanks for this...I will check it out for sure. Since this a client of a client (two steps down) creating this, I may not get quick feedback but I will let you know ASAP.
