Movie Studio 14 Platinum - Constant Freeze

Recently upgraded my computer to Windows 10 64b (windows 7 64b did NOT have these problems), reinstalled Movie Studio 14, and now it constantly freezes "Not responding", White screen when adding photos or switching menu choice, timeline preview, almost any change in selection in the application causes the screen to go white and freeze. CPU acceleration is off, Dynamic RAM preview set everything from the default 200 all the way to 8GB, my system has 32GB total. The application is basically unusable at this point.

I have tried all the settings provided in the documentation, plus several internet search fixes, even tried to run the entire application in windows 7 compatibility mode because it worked fine before the upgrade. The app is NOT working.

Trying to get support help from the company does not seem to be working, this is the only support they have? When I select support it takes me to an automated system that does not allow for new issues to be entered, only existing issues can be searched.
