Movie Studio Platinum Upgrade from 11 to 12 to 14

14 won't open, I've re-installed and it still hangs on the crash menu and has never opened.  I started with MS11 upgraded to 12 platinum so both of them were required to be on the PC for the prior upgrade and both programs are on the PC now using Win10 with Intel quad-core Sandy Bridge i5 3.3ghz cpu, 8gb RAM with Intel® HD Graphics 3000 on the moboard.  Why won't this load?  Sent a request and waiting.  The phone number on their site only has 2 options in voicemail for "non-technical" help on pre-sale of software.  I pushed it anyway and voicemail message said all lines busy, call later and disconnected.  Does anyone know how to get this thing to work?

Thank you, I had a Native Reverb VST plugin that would crash the MS12 sometimes so I changed the vstplugin default address to go to sony shared plugins and nothing showed up anymore there.  After that I started both 11 and 12 and then 14 and closed 11 and 12 and it got to the "creating windows" and hangs there now.  At first I thought give it time to create the windows for the first time, but it's been way too long.  I did it a couple times, now I'll try a reset of PC and try again.  I feel like maybe progress is being made but still no MS14.  How did you get a tech support person on the phone?  thanks again.

I had to go to control panel and uninstall the HitFilm toolkit program.  Then when I tried to start the MS14, it finally opened!!  Yes!!  After that I tried a reboot and re-install the HitFilm thinking it was possible that the sequence that the programs were installed was the issue but it caused the MS14 to hang just like before.  Now it's gone so I guess I am stuck with the not being able to use those plug-ins for now?- unless anyone has suggestions.  The HitFilm video fx showed up and worked in MS12 when they were installed but MS14 would not open.    Now I am having an issue with the preview window in 14, the video shows up fine with the timeline but the external monitor setting shows a big white screen and not my vid. Any suggestions from you nice people? 🙂 thank you.

Sorry about that, thanks for asking.  Does this screen capture provide the info?

The white screen is the whole screen on a desktop monitor.   When the external monitor feature is activated it goes to a full screen of white.  The ext mon preview shows the vid in full screen in ms12 where you can view the video and stop and start it with the space bar. It's all white here.

Thanks, I tried 27 and it said that .net 4.6.2 or an updated version was already installed.  The only option on Optimize GPU for Intel graphics is off.
