Moving Vegas License To My New Computer

RandyCA wrote on 10/9/2017, 4:31 PM

After getting the new Vegas upgrade, I could see its high time up upgrade my compute, so I am building my new dream computer.

Question: How do I move my Vegas License from my old crappy computer, which is going into the trash (the Mother Board has non-fixable problems) to my new super computer?

If it is any help, I also ordered the Vegas CD for backup the same time I took advantage of the upgrade deal.

Just deactivate it on the old machine. That option will be found under the 'Help' menu. You'll then be free to install it on your new one.

go to www.magix.com, log-in, and from 'My Products' section, you can delete the old computer's activation.

You might not even need to deactivate the old computer. See FAQ #9.

After reinstalling on the new machine Vegas asks for serial number every time it starts. I understand I can use 2 installations at least until the new machine works ok. Also tried to deactivate the old activation in the menu, which did not help. Serial number is still asked for.
Any idea?
