I have just reinstalled vegas pro 15 on new laptop (old one died) all is working but this is no mp3 render option

are there separate mp3 codecs that I need to install please thank you, david

No, the program has "Mp3 audio possibilities to render audio to in different tasts

I'm on v17 and the MP3 format disappeared in 4 days since I last used it. Did you get a fix @davidg-gelfand ?

Is the PC connected to the internet? The MP3 license should activate right after Vegas' initial install, but maybe a glitch happened. Otherwise try resetting Vegas.

@john_dennis, thanks for your input, but my audio tracks aren't muted. The project is all audio, no video. I actually wish that was the problem as it would be an easy fix! 😀

What do you mean by "resetting Vegas" ?

Hold down the CTRL + SHIFT keys at the same time and click the executable file <.exe> or shortcut icon to start the program . A pop-up option asks,, "Do you want to reset all Vegas Pro preferences to default values?" and "Delete all Cached Application Data?" This will restore VP to the Factory Default Settings.

The MP3 export function should work as it is. Try reset Vegas like above's recommendation.

One possibility (though unconfirmed) is Virus checkers & registry cleaners might affecting this.
