MP4 H264 crashing Vegas Pro 19 on one computer

MP4 crashing in Vegas Pro 19.

MP4 file made with Adobe Premiere CS6
H264
Will not play in Vegas Pro 19 on one computer, but plays fine on other computers with Vegas Pro19.
Also plays in same computer in Vegas Pro 11 and 17.
Causes Vegas Pro 19 to crash.
Uninstalled and reinstalled, no improvement.
Vegas Pro 458
Tried turning off GPU, no improvement.
(Lots of other MP4 files and other types play okay.)
Anyone have ideas??

Is it something with interlacing x GPU? What de-interlacing settings are you using in Vegas?

(and is there a reason you are doing interlaced exports in the first place? Try progressive if you don't have a reason).

Interlace is still the safe and preferred way for some broadcasters. My target is broadcasting. Since the files work on other computers running VegasPro19, I don't think the interlacing would be a factor. I have tried GPU off and on, so that should rule it out. I have had this computer for 3 years, so I thought there might be some remnant codec issue, yet I can play the files fine on older versions of Vegas on this same computer.

I think I'm having the same issue. After rendering, my video doesnt playback and it kind of crashes and it doesnt play the mp4 video. Never had problem with any other version. I have an Hp Pavilion gaming laptop with AMD Ryzen 5 and Nvidia GeForce GTX

The problem will be similar, but certainly not the same, since you will both have different hardware and drivers.
Start a new thread and describe your problem there in detail - the description of your system environment is best kept in your user profile under "Signature", there it is again easy to find for everyone with other questions (see my signature as an example).

Interlacing is definitely a factor. What are your specific project settings?

Interlace is not a factor. I have now learned that only my User profile is affected, even though I am also listed as an administrator. VegasPro19 was uninstalled and reinstalled under "Administrator". It works properly under that login, but not on my "User" profile. Final solution is not yet resolved.
